KCET 2016 Super Numerary Quota (SNQ) for Engineering

About Super Numerary Quota

5% of the seats in each college and in each course will be reserved as Supernumerary Quota in all Engineering Colleges. The tuition fee prescribed by the Government in that particular college will be waived off. The candidate has to pay the other fees only. This Supernumerary quota is not available for Architecture Course. All candidates including General Merit are eligible for allotment of seats under Supernumerary quota. If the parental annual income is less than income prescribed by the Government for Supernumerary quota seats, then such candidate has to produce the Income Certificate issued by the jurisdictional Tahasildar which should be submitted at the time of verification of documents in order to become eligible for allotment of Supernumerary Quota seats. These seats will be allotted in the order of merit and options entered by the candidate.


Who are Eligible for Super Numerary Quota

Category I : Students can select the seats who's parental annual income is less than 1 lakh.

Category II: If the seats are remaining after alloting to Category I, then seats will be allotted to the    candidates who's parental annual income is between 1 lakh to 2 lakhs.

Category III: If the seats are remaining after alloting to Category II, then seats will be allotted to the    candidates who's parental annual income is between 2 lakhs to 3 lakhs.

Category IV:If the seats are remaining after alloting to Category III, then seats will be allotted to the    candidates who's parental annual income is between 3 lakhs to 4.5 lakhs.

Category V:If the seats are remaining after alloting to Category VI, then seats will be allotted to the    candidates who's parental annual income is between 4.5 lakhs to 6 lakhs.

What are colleges available for Super Numerary Quota 

All government engineering colleges, Universities , Private Added Engineering Colleges, Private Unaided Engineering Colleges, Minority Engineering Colleges as per the AICTE approved courses on total intake of seats , 5% will be allotted under Super Numerary Quota.

Under Super Numerary Quota only tuition fee will be waived off...

All the students will be eligible for Super Numerary Quota, irrespective of caste and category.
