Allotment Procedure KCET-2016 option entry system

Option Entry Candidates can enter the options of multiple disciplines like Medical, Engineering, ISM&H and Architecture, Farm Science, B-Pharm, Pharm-D, etc., together in the order of priority as per their eligibility. Allotment Procedure The allotment of a seat for a particular student is based on his/her rank, entered options and availability of seat as per his/her option entered. The detail procedure adopted in the software is given below. Round : once the document verification is over students are asked to make entry of options. Each option entry has a start date and closing date this is followed by an allotment. The students are asked to entry fresh options multiple times if they are not satisfied of allotment. Each fresh option schedule defines a new round. Iteration : in each round there is an internal process called iteration. KEA has released the mock allotment results , students are advised to check these mock allotment results , and you got till june 30th to check and change/modify your options in the seat allotment process. 1. The candidates who have already entered the options other than Medical / Dental discipline can enter the medical / dental colleges once the seat matrix is issued by the Government. 2. The candidates who have entered their priority numbers for other discipline can modify the priority numbers and assign the priority numbers to medical / dental disciplines as their top priority numbers. 3. If a candidate desire to enter medical as their top priority, he / she can do so Just by entering the same priority numbers then the earlier priority numbers will change automatically and will be reflected immediately.

Whereas, the seat selection process involves publication of a notification indicating the seats made available pursuant to consensual agreement between the State Government and the Association of Colleges for being filled through the merit evaluation process of COMEDK; Whereas, a formal communication from the Government and some of the Colleges is still awaited and it is felt that with a view to notify the eligible students some idea of the availability of seats, an indicative number of seats available for being filled through COMEDK is required to be announced based on seat sharing formula agreed upon between the member institutions and the State Government; Now, therefore, the indicative number of seats for being filled through COMEDK merit route in respect of member institutions is as at Annexure A for UG Engineering courses and Annexure B for UG Architecture course. In continuation of the office notification, the option entry process commenced at 6.00 on 17-06-2016 and concludes at 11.00 am on 22-06-2016. FIRST ROUND OF COUNSELING / SEAT SELECTION PROCESS COMEDK-2016

. A day is divided into multiple sessions and the first session begins at 8:30AM. The candidate will be allowed to participate in accordance with the notified time schedule and as per the stipulated rank ranges only. The candidates are required to get the original documents verified and later to register themselves in the counter where it gets entered into the computer system. Unless the candidate is registered, he/she cannot participate in the seat selection process. As biometric, photo and signature process will be executed, the candidate‟s physical presence is compulsory. Once the registered candidate comes to the seat selection after verification of documents, a merit list is generated for each of the session. Unless a candidate who has a higher rank gets the opportunity to select a seat, a candidate who has the rank next to him cannot think of bypassing him. . IMPORTANT STEPS OF SEAT SELECTION A. Verification and submission of documents: i) Verification of all original documents including the photo ID proof and their photo copies besides Demand Draft towards the tuition fee. ii) The photo copies of all the required original documents will be collected at the Verification counter. iii) Registration of the candidates: It involves the process of:- a) Biometric verification. b) Signature. c) Photo verification. d) Issue of Registration slip. B. The candidates shall have to fill the Demand Draft details and three choices of Course / College that are available at the time and which he / she wishes to opt during the seat selection. C. Exercising the option by the registered candidates involving selection of a seat in the order of merit subject to the availability of seat and the college.

COMEDK-2016 .ANNUAL TUTION FEE

The upper limit of annual tuition fee as agreed between the State Government and the Association of Engineering Colleges is `1,70,000/- or `1,21,000/- whichever is opted by the respective institutions. Note: i) The Candidates are required to deposit a sum of `55,000/- (Rupees fifty five thousand only) at the time of seat allotment and remaining tuition fee at the college level when they get admitted. ii) The Annual tuition fee amount for the first year, for different courses should be paid by the candidates in the form of a Demand Draft drawn only on Nationalized Banks in favor of COMEDK and indicating the Test Admission Ticket Number (TAT Number) thereon, payable at Bangalore when they come for Centralized Counseling.
