 Mode of Examination JEE (Main)-2021 will be conducted in the following modes:  a) Paper 1 (B.E. /B. Tech.) in “Computer Based Test (CBT)” mode only.  b) Paper 2A (B.  About JEE (Main) 2021 The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) comprises of two papers. The Paper1 is conducted for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programs (B.E/B. Tech) at NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), Institutions/Universities funded/recognized by participating State Governments, as well as an eligibility test for JEE (Advanced), which is conducted for admission to IITs. Candidates of UPSEE (2021) will take JEE (Main) 2021. The Paper 2 is conducted for admission to B. Arch and B. Planning courses in the Country. From this year, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow will also use the score sheet of JEE (Main) – 2021 for admission to the B.Tech / M.Tech (Integrated)/B.Arch. How to save Options entered? Just below the option entry panel a button called “SAVE” is available on the website. Every time a candidate enters the options and wishes to exit the website he has to click the button “SAVE” and then he / she can logout from the website without any loss of information. Does a candidate have to enter all the options at once? No, a candidate can enter and alter the entries as many times as he wants, but before the last date and time prescribed for option entry. But each time candidate has to SAVE his options by clicking on the SAVE button. How to make changes in Options saved and entered? After completion of process of options entry is over, and if a candidate wants to change the options he can do so by changing the preference order in the “Modify Selected Option” panel. IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS • Candidates MUST carry a printed copy of the downloaded admit card and their original and valid photo identity card (any one of Aadhaar, School ID, Driving License, Voter ID, Passport, PAN Card) for the examination. Only candidates having a valid admit card and photo identity card will be allowed to write the examination. • The candidate’s identity will be verified by invigilators as well as IIT representatives. If the identity of the candidate is in doubt, the candidate may not be allowed to appear in the examination. However, the authorities at their discretion may provisionally permit the candidate to appear in the examination after completing certain formalities. QUESTION PAPERS • JEE (Advanced) 2020 will consist of two question papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2 of three hours duration each. Both papers are compulsory. • Each question paper will consist of three separate sections, viz., Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The syllabi are given in Annexure-I: SYLLABI. • The question papers will consist of questions designed to test comprehension, reasoning and analytical ability of candidates. • Negative marks may be awarded for incorrect answers for some of the questions.
