IIT-JEE 2015 RANK LISTS

1. The following TYPES of rank lists will be prepared:
(i) Common rank list (CRL): It includes candidates who are assigned the tag GEN, GEN-PwD, OBC-NCL, OBC-NCL-PwD, SC, SC-PwD, ST or STPwD. Foreign nationals are also included in the CRL prepared based on JEE (Advanced) 2015.
 (ii) OBC-NCL rank list: It includes candidates who are assigned the tag OBC-NCL or OBC-NCL-PwD.
 (iii) SC rank list: It includes candidates who are assigned the tag SC or SCPwD.
 (iv) ST rank list: It includes candidates who are assigned the tag ST or STPwD
(v) CRL-PwD rank list: It includes candidates who are assigned the tag GEN-PwD, OBC-NCL-PwD, SC-PwD or ST-PwD.
(vi) OBC-NCL-PwD rank list: It includes candidates who are assigned the tag OBC-NCL-PwD.
(vii) SC-PwD rank list: It includes candidates who are assigned the tag SCPwD.
 (viii) ST-PwD rank list: It includes candidates who are assigned the tag ST-PwD.

2.[Only for IITs and ISM] The following rank lists MAY also be prepared to include candidates who have secured minimum 2.5% in each of the three subjects AND minimum 8.75% aggregate in JEE (Advanced) 2015 AND are NOT in any of the other rank lists prepared based on JEE (Advanced) 2015. The following rank lists, if prepared, will be used for admission into the preparatory courses offered by IITs and ISM.
(i) SC preparatory course rank list: This rank list includes candidates who are assigned the SC or SC-PwD tag. This list will be prepared ONLY if the total number of candidates in the SC and SC-PwD rank lists put together is </= 1.4 times the total seat capacities in the SC category [SC category seat capacity does NOT include SC-PwD category seats].
(ii) ST preparatory course rank list: This rank list includes candidates who are assigned the ST or ST-PwD tag. This list will be prepared ONLY if the total number of candidates in the ST and ST-PwD rank lists put together is </= 1.4 times the total seat capacities in the ST category [ST category seat capacity does NOT include ST-PwD category seats].
(iii) CRL-PwD preparatory course rank list: This rank list includes candidates who are assigned the GEN-PwD, OBC-NCL-PwD, SC-PwD or ST-PwD tag. This list will be prepared ONLY if the total number of candidates in the CRL-PwD, OBC-NCL-PwD, SC-PwD and ST-PwD rank lists is </= 1.4 times the total seat capacities in the OPEN-PwD category.
(iv) OBC-NCL-PwD preparatory course rank list: This rank list includes candidates who are assigned the OBC-NCL-PwD tag. This list will be prepared ONLY if the total number of candidates in the OBC-NCL-PwD rank list is </= 1.4 times the total seat capacities in the OBC-NCL-PwD category.
(v) SC-PwD preparatory course rank list: This rank list includes candidates who are assigned the SC-PwD tag. This list will be prepared ONLY if the total number of candidates in the SC-PwD rank list is </=1.4 times the total seat capacities in the SC-PwD category.
 (vi) ST-PwD preparatory course rank list: This rank list includes candidates who are assigned the ST-PwD tag. This list will be prepared ONLY if the total number of candidates in the ST-PwD category is </= 1.4 times the total seat capacities in the ST-PwD category.
3.[Only for IITs and ISM] Rank lists for admission to IITs and ISM are prepared based on the performance of candidates in JEE (Advanced) 2015 by the JAB. The qualifying marks a candidate has to score in JEE (Advanced) 2015 for inclusion in various rank lists are as shown below. For inclusion in any of the rank lists, the candidates must satisfy the corresponding minimum marks in each of the three subjects (viz., Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) as well as the aggregate marks.

4.       Rank lists for admission to NITs, IIITs (Triple-I-Ts) and Other-GFTIs are prepared by the JEE Apex Board as follows:

(i)       One set of eight rank lists based on the performance of candidates in JEE (Main) 2015 Paper-1 (B.E. / B.Tech.) and Class XII (or equivalent) examination.

(ii)     Another set of eight rank lists based on the performance of candidates in JEE (Main) 2015 Paper-2 (B.Arch. / B.Planning) and Class XII (or equivalent) examination.

All the candidates who appeared for JEE (Main) 2015 are considered while preparing rank lists and are allowed to fill-in their choices. The rank lists provided by the JEE Apex Board will be used as such without any change even if two or more candidates have the same rank; in other words, JoSAA 2015 will NOT apply any tie-breaking norms / rules.

5.  A candidate may appear in one or more rank lists.
