JEE Mains 2017 Important Information

Exam Pattern

  • JEE Mains Paper 1 is for B.E / B.Tech
  • JEE Mains Paper 2 is for B.Arch / B.Planning

Paper 1
  • Courses: It is held for engineering courses (B.E/B.Tech)
  • Language: Hindi, English (candidates can select while filling the application form).
  • Duration: 3 hours. (4 hours for the candidates having 40% or more disability).
  • Marking Scheme: 4 marks for each correct response.
  • Negative Marking: 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect or multi-responses.
Paper 1 has objective type with equal weightage of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics

Paper 2
  • Courses: It is held for Architecture course. (B.Arch).
  • Language: Hindi, English (candidates can select while filling the application form).
  • Duration: 3 hours (4 hours for the candidates having 40% or more disability).
  • Marking Scheme: 4 marks for each correct response (2 questions of drawing will carry 70 marks).
  • Negative Marking: 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect or multi-response.

Paper 2 has objective type questions for Mathematics (part I) and Aptitude Test (part II). Questions to test drawing aptitude are asked for Drawing Test (part III).
